Dua lipa is a British musician and singer born on August 22, 1995, in London. She decided to sign with Warner Bros Records in 2014 following her work as a model. She then made her debut self-titled album in 2017. It peaked in at the third spot on the U.K. albums chart and included eight singles, which included the U.K. top-ten single New Rules as well as Be the One. I.D.G.A.F. Lipa was awarded an award at the Brit Awards in the year 2018 for British Female Solo Artist and British Breakthrough Act and her album was certified platinum in a variety of countries. Dua Lipa was birthed to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London on the 22nd of August, 1995. Dua Lipa is Bosnian heritage via her maternal grandmother. Her ancestors could also be traced back to Kosovo town of Peja. The grandparents of Lipa were both historians. She is the sibling of Rina Lipa, and has another younger brother named Gjin. Her father, a guitarist and lead singer of Kosovan group Oda, influenced her musically. Her home was where her father played music. He played his compositions, and also songs performed by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics The Police. Lipa started singing when she was only 5 years old. At the age of nine she began singing in Sylvia Young Theater School. Lipa has recorded her song If I'm You You By Alicia Keys and Beautiful by Christina Aguilera, for YouTube. In 2014, Lipa was signed to a contract for her record label Warner Bros. Records. In August of 2015, her debut single New Love came out.
