LeBron Raymone James Sr. (born December 30, 1984) was an American professional basketball player with the Los Angeles Lakers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The player is referred to as King James and is considered to be one of the most successful basketball players in history. James has won four NBA championships, four NBA MVPs as well as three MVPs of the All-Star team and the two Olympic medals. James is the NBA All-Star who has the most playoff points, with the second most points in his career total and the seventh best ever assist number. James has been the NBA All-Star has made the All-NBA Team 18 times, a record. James has also been selected to make the NBA All-Defensive First Team 5 times. The third highest amount of NBA Finals ever was ten, with eight being consecutive between 2011-2018. In 2021 James was chosen to join make the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022, he became the very first player of NBA history to score at least 10,000 career points in rebounds and assists. James played basketball for St. Vincent St. Mary High School within his home town in Akron Ohio and was heavily advertised by national media for his potential as an NBA superstar. A prep-to-pro, he was selected to the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first overall selection in the 2003 NBA draft. He was named the 2004 NBA Rookie of the Year, He quickly established himself as one of the league's premier players winning his NBA MVP award in 2009 and 2010. James was not able to secure the award with Cleveland, and then left Cleveland as an "free agent" in 2010. This decision was made by the television show The Decision.
