Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was raised by a mixed ethnic family. She has a father who is Nigerian and Swiss as well as her mom is English. She was raised on a south London community estate, where she attended The Brit School at age 14. She went to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London in which she earned a BA in acting. While attending the academy, she appeared in a number of stage productions such as the King Henry V playing Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began her acting career in the movie Storm Damage. In the years since, she's had guest appearances for Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe made her debut motion-picture role in the Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. In the wake of that film's success her role was Elisha in the one-off BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN, and appeared in the six episodes of Trexx as well as Flipside playing Ollie. In the ITV2 series Secret Diary of a Call Girl saw her in 2008 playing Bambi. Madekwe starred in the comedy film How to Lose Friends & Get People to Leave. Her credits in theatre are Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams as well as Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe first aired in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama show aired on The CW for only two episodes, but it was removed from the air. Ashley Davenport appeared in ABC drama Revenge from February 2011. Madekwe had appeared in all episodes in the series' initial two seasons as a regular. However, in May of 2013, announcement was made that she would quit the show due to her guest appearance on the opening episode for its third season. The actress played Tituba on the television show Salem between 2014 and. Madekwe, along with her boyfriend of many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were married in June 2012. They've collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl and also was a character on the TV series Salem.
Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress was raised in a large family living in Hamilton, Ontario. She joined her parents, Roy and Patty as well as her four brothers: Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. The four brothers of Ashley, each of them extremely active, took part in hockey in the winter months and played baseball in the summer months, which means she basically grew up in parks and arenas. Ashley was never able to walk but she was able to dance. As she was two and a half, she started Baby Ballet and fell in the love. This was the beginning of Ashley's love for dancing. Ashley was a top competitor in divisions for jazz, tap hip hop, ballet lyrical musical theatre, acrobatics and pointe, until she finished from high school. The major dance festivals, like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance, have awarded her the honor of "top Soloist".
